1. Selecting or employing individual elements from a variety of sources, systems, or styles

2. Made up of or combining elements from a variety of sources

WHAT IS ECLECTIC CORNER

Eclectic Corner is a monthly challenge, concentrating on one theme (ie edge, momentarily etc) over the month but each week focusing on a different category.

The categories are as follows:

• Week 1 – Photography
• Week 2 – Written piece or poetry (defined at the time)
• Week 3 – favourite related quote

The Eclectic Corner is posted every Tuesday, week 1 starting on the 1st Tuesday of the month (photography), week 2 is the 2nd Tuesday (Written piece or poetry) and so forth.

There is an InLinkz page attached at the bottom of the Tuesday’s posts, this will remain open until just before the end of the month (end date is always stated on each post).

At the moment there will be voting for the top 3 posts.  These will be featured at the end of the month, by entering this challenge you agree for me to use your photographs and or written work in a possible feature, this does not compromise your copyright.

Week 4 we celebrate by having a Tea Party blog hop, here we post things about Tea, have a cuppa or whatever and I will feature the top posts.  If you wish to find out more about the Tea Party blog hop, please click here:  Tea Party blog hop.

Voting

Everyone gets 3 votes to use over the month as and how they wish, or none at all, it is not obligatory, but just fun!

I will tally the votes at the end and do the feature during the Tea Party.

ECLECTIC CORNER GUIDELINES

How? – Create a new post specifically for Eclectic Corner and make sure to tag it with Eclectic Corner so other participants or just those who wish to see what you have done can find it.

What? – The theme will be determined at the beginning of each month.

The categories will be posted weekly, 3 in all, as follows:

• Week 1 – Photography
• Week 2 – Written piece or poetry (defined at the time)
• Week 3 – favourite related quote

When? – It is recurring monthly, each category being posted on a Tuesday, ending just before the end of the month, giving me enough time to gather entries and make a feature for the Tea Party blog hop.

The approximate time of posting is 5-5.30 am GMT, thats around 12-12.30am EST or 2 – 2.30am ADT, you can easily convert the time here.

The earlier you link the better, historically this gains better views in these situations.

Where? – Eclectic Corner is hosted at Eclectic Odds n Sods.  Please link your post back to the relevant post I made and if time put the URL in the comments to, it make it easier for me to find.

Please, please remember to post your entry in to the InLinkz page, people do forget and it is too time consuming for me to look up each post and check.

After this please visit Eclectic Odds n Sods and post your URL to the set of links in InLinkz to the matching subject/theme post of that fortnight.

A thumbnail image of your selected photo will then be displayed for others to find and for you to refer back to and it will also allow you to re-post your entry on to your other social media sites should you have them. (share the love)
